Research
The goal of my research is to better understand the dynamics in General Relativity and other gravity theories.
Because of the complexity of Einstein equations, it is not very practical to solve Einstein equation analytically.
There exist a few analytical solutions, which greatly help people to understand GR. However, they are also very
limited. Therefore we adopt a numerical approach.
Technically, I solve PDEs arising from Einstein equations, and
other gravity equations.
The main challenges, among others, are long term evolution, constraints preservation,
and gauge fixing and implementation. Recasting Einstein equations in a proper way is one of the keys to successful simulation.
My research include both the general aspects of numerical relativity (such as regularity problem),
and the specific physical projects (such as braneworld simulation).

- Gravitational Collapse in Randall-Sundrum Braneworld.
- Simulation of gravitational wave collapse.
- f(R) gravity and BKL conjecture.
